Summer Learning Hike Kicks Off Monday For BCPS students

The Summer Learning Hike starts Monday for BCPS students and encourages them to read and learn this summer.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The Summer Learning Hike kicks off Monday and encourages Baltimore County Public Schools students to read and learn all throughout the summer. The program lasts until Aug. 20.

“We hope our students will learn in multiple ways this summer – by reading, interning, working, creating, exploring, and taking advantage of the Summer Learning Hike” BCPS Superintendent Dr. Darryl L. Williams said. “The Summer Learning Hike is designed to be an engaging and enjoyable way to reinforce classroom learning from the past academic year and prepare students for the work they will face next school year.”

The Summer Learning Hike is optional and no grades will be assigned. Hikers simply need to use their student login at My Apps, and select the online program(s) for their grade level. Students selected for traditional Summer School programs are also welcomed to join the Summer Learning Hike.
