The Superintendent's Gallery To Showcase BCPS Student Artwork

The gallery will feature 24 juried student artworks from 18 Baltimore County Public Schools across the county.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Student artwork will be on display in the administration building at the Greenwood campus in what's being called The Superintendent's Gallery. The inaugural exhibition in the gallery will feature 24 juried student artworks from 18 Baltimore County Public Schools across the county.

The artwork, along with written and video artist statements, also can be found in a virtual gallery on the visual arts office website. A "best in show" winner for the exhibition will be selected and announced soon.

“This is our first physical art exhibition since classroom doors closed in March 2020 at the start of the global pandemic” Sherri Fisher, visual arts coordinator for the school, said in a news release. “As we are reopening schools and classrooms, we are reopening the gallery to possibilities and a better future. The work in this exhibition was completed by students during the 2020-2021 school year and reflects their resiliency, creativity and the power of art to carry us through challenging times. We continue to get through this with art and are happy to officially announce that the gallery is open.”
