  1. Two persons prohibited from possessing firearms were arrested on gun and drug charges during recent enforcement by a task force working along the border between Baltimore City and Baltimore County. (Maryland State Police)
  2. Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski on Friday introduced legislation that would create an oversight board for the Inspector General's Office. (WMAR-2 News)
  3. Today, Catonsville will host the 75th Parade and Fireworks. The parade starts at Frederick Road and Montrose Avenue at 3 p.m. The Fireworks will be shot off at Catonsville High School Athletic Fields at 9:30 p.m. (Patch)
  4. Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Catonsville announced last month that Jeffrey Galbreath has been named the school's new softball coach. Galbreath replaces Chuck Slater, who retired after 17 years at the helm. (Patch)
  5. The inaugural Maryland Cycling Classic, which had been scheduled for Labor Day weekend, will be postponed for the second straight year "due to post-COVID conditions not aligning with the standards necessitated for a world-class event," the organizers announced Friday. (Baltimore Sun)
