UMBC will be competing for the America East title and automatic NCAA Tournament bid when they host Hartford on Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

With a 3-1 tournament semifinal victory over Vermont, UMBC will be competing for the America East title and automatic NCAA Tournament bid for the fifth time in the last six seasons. They dropped the first championship game final at Stony Brook in 2009, but have advanced in home efforts in 2010, 2012 and 2013.

UMBC clinched a spot in the America East Tournament for the eighth consecutive year and the ninth time in 12 league seasons. The Retrievers’ 6-0-1 league record is their best in AE competition.

The Retrievers are looking to become just the second team in America East history to win three consecutive league titles. Boston University won five in a row from 1993-97.
