Volunteer Firefighter Injured In 5-Vehicle Crash Near Catonsville
Seven people were injured in a 5-vehicle pileup near Catonsville Sunday, including a volunteer firefighter driving a fire station SUV.
CATONSVILLE, MD — A volunteer firefighter was among seven people injured in a 5-vehicle accident in Catonsville Sunday at the intersection of St. Agnes Lane and Route 40 Westbound, Baltimore National Pike. Route 40 westbound was shut down for a period of time.
The accident happened shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to the Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association.
The injured volunteer firefighter had been driving in a Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Company SUV, and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Six other people were taken to nearby hospitals.
