Winning Scratch Ticket Nets $71K For Catonsville Woman
She managed to beat the odds of 1 in 107,600 to win $71,660 from the Racetrax scratch ticket.
CATONSVILLE, MD — Luck was on the side of a 60-year-old Catonsville woman who placed a $1 Superfecta bet for 10 drawings on a Racetrax scratch ticket game. Her four horses numbered 10, 4, 5 and 11, had to cross the finish line together in that order. With odds of 1 in 107,600, who could've imagined that she would end up winning $71,660 from that one play.
The Maryland Lottery retailer that sold the woman the ticket, Hamilton News Mart at 5438 Harford Road in Baltimore, earns a bonus of $716.60 for selling the winning Racetrax ticket of $10,000 or more. The bonus is equal to 1 percent of the prize.
