Charlestown Sluggers Start New Season

Catonsville, MD – Charlestown retirement community’s Sluggers softball team takes to the field for the start of a new season.

This year’s team, which is coached by Bert Clegern, is said to be built on home run power, pitching and defense.

All games are played on a baseball field beneath a hill overlooked by historic Our Lady of the Angels Chapel. This field is hitter-friendly, according to fans.

The Sluggers will play June 8 in a tournament featuring teams from neighboring Erickson Living-managed retirement communities in Maryland and Virginia.
