LOTHIAN, MD — Police said two people died and one was injured after a Lothian crash on May 27. Officers identified the deceased victims as:

  • 23-year-old Leah Mae Foster of Chesapeake Beach
  • 21-year-old Nicholas Raymond Harris of Lothian

An incident report explained that Foster was driving Harris in a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox around 12:50 a.m. Police advised that the Equinox tried to cross Southern Maryland Boulevard, also known as Maryland Route 4, onto Lower Pindell Road.

The Equinox, however, did not yield the right of way to a 2018 Dodge Charger heading south on Maryland Route 4, officers mentioned. The Charger struck then struck the crossing Equinox, the press release continued.

Police informed that both occupants of the Equinox died on the scene. The write-up indicated that the Anne Arundel County Fire Department treated the Charger driver, and medics flew him to an unnamed hospital with serious injuries. Officials expect the 25-year-old from College Park to survive.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating the accident.
