Cailin Talbert, Esq. Joins JDKatz, P.C.

Senior associate brings extensive estate planning and tax experience

BETHESDA, Md. − JDKatz, P.C. – a tax litigation and estate planning law firm located in Bethesda, Md. and downtown Washington, D.C. – has added Cailin J. Talbert, Esq. as a senior associate.

Bringing nine years of experience, Talbert concentrates her practice on estates & trusts, wills & probate and tax matters. In addition to counseling clients on their estate planning needs, she performs extensive research on evolving tax issues and provides technical advice and assistance to attorneys, accountants and clients.

Licensed to practice in the State of Maryland, Talbert is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association and its Estate and Trusts Section.

After beginning her legal career as paralegal and clerk at Joseph, Greenwald & Laake, PA, she served as an associate at Haskell & Zimmerman. She then joined the Maryland Comptroller’s Estate Tax Unit, starting as a tax consultant before being promoted to manager. During her six-year tenure with the State, she worked closely with individual taxpayers, practitioners and related agencies to encourage better understanding and compliance with Maryland estate tax laws and legal procedures.

Talbert earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Franklin & Marshall College, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Masters of Taxation from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. She resides in Edgewater.
