23 Candidates Apply For Anne Arundel School Board

The School Board Appointment Commission of Anne Arundel County will meet to interview candidates on July 24, 25, 26, and 27.

From Anne Arundel County Public Schools: The School Board Appointment Commission of Anne Arundel County received 23 applications for the vacant at-large seat on the Board of Education by the close of the application period on July 14, and will interview those candidates at a series of three meetings later this month.

The following candidates submitted applications for the seat:

  • Colin Reinhard of Linthicum
  • Donna Rober of Crownsville

  • Lisa Shore of Pasadena

The Commission will meet to interview candidates at 6 p.m. on July 24, 25, 26, and 27. All meetings will be held in the Board Room of the Carol Sheffey Parham Building, located at 2644 Riva Road in Annapolis.

During their interviews, candidates will have up to three minutes to make an opening statement. Each of the 13 Commissioners will then have up to three minutes to question each candidate.

Commission meetings are open to the public and televised live on AACPS-TV, which can be found on Channel 96 on Comcast and Broadstripe, and Channel 36 on Verizon. High definition broadcasts can be seen on Channel 996 on Comcast, Channel 496 on Broadstripe, and 1961 on Verizon. Meetings are also broadcast live on the internet here.
