Cyrus Arasteh, 93, of Edgewater: Obituary

EDGEWATER, MD — Cyrus Arasteh, 93, a resident of Edgewater for 12 years and previously of New Orleans, LA, died on April 27, 2017 of natural causes. Born on September 24, 1923 in Iran, Cyrus earned a doctor of medicine degree and was a physician for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Mahmonir Kafi; his sons, Shahriar Arasteh of Dayton, OH and Kamyar Arasteh of New York, NY; his daughter, Shahrzad Arasteh of Edgewater, MD; and his grandson, Bijan.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. Interment will follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville.
