Deale Natives Brothers Osborne Win 2 ACM Awards

The country duo Brothers Osborne, natives of Deale, won two awards at the ACMs in Las Vegas Sunday.

DEALE, MD — Deale natives and musicians the Brothers Osborne snagged two awards Sunday night at the 2017 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. The Anne Arundel County natives, who now call Nashville home, won awards for best Vocal Duo and New Vocal Duo or Group.

John and TJ Osborne performed their newest single, “It Ain’t My Fault,” at the awards show. The song appears on their debut studio album, Pawn Shop.

“We want to thank our fans so much,” John Osborne said of their New Vocal Duo award, reports TheBoot.com. “We never get to thank our fans. You guys keep showing up — If you guys keep showing up, we’ll keep showing up forever. We will never ever take this for granted.”

Pawn Shop helped the brothers win the Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2016 CMA Awards and took home this year’s ACM for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year before the show even started. The pair last year were nominated for "Best Country Duo/Group Performance" for their single "21 Summer;" they were nominated last year with the single "Stay a Little Longer."

The siblings got their start in all-night jam sessions in their house, playing Bob Seger, Hank Williams, Tom Petty and George Jones. The Brothers Osborne are in the midst of their Dirt Rich tour.
