Edgewater Hit-And-Run Leads To Drug Possession Arrest: Police
Officers discovered the hit-and-run suspect had in his possession a clear plastic sandwich bag containing 16 capsules believed to be heroin.
EDGEWATER, MD — A 33-year-old Gambrills man was arrested in Edgewater after crashing into a fence and fleeing the scene. The incident occurred June 7 at approximately 5:40 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Oakwood Road. They found the suspect's vehicle, a Honda minivan, while en route to the scene, the Anne Arundel County Police Department shared.
After stopping the vehicle, officers discovered the suspect had in his possession a clear plastic sandwich bag containing 16 capsules believed to be heroin, according to a police report. Officers arrested the suspect who has been identified as Daniel McVicker.
