Riva Man Shot Outside His Home; He Was Leaving For Work
A Riva man was shot outside his home Monday. The shooting followed a confrontation with a motorist blocking the victim's driveway.

RIVA, MD — Police say a man was shot outside his Riva home while leaving for work Monday morning. The shooting happened around 6 a.m. in the 100 block of Orchard Road.
The victim realized a maroon sedan was blocking his driveway, so he asked the driver to move. The unidentified motorist got out of their car, shot the victim in his lower torso and fled.
Responding police officers gave the man first aid until an ambulance arrived. Medics took the victim to a nearby hospital. He is expected to survive.
