Edgewater Under Coastal Flood Advisory

The National Weather Service reports tides may be high enough to cause minor flooding.

There’s a coastal flood advisory in effect for several areas, including Edgewater, until Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. on Wednesday to 5 p.m. on Thursday for parts of Anne Arundel, Harford, Calvert and Baltimore counties.

Tides will be 1 to 1.5 feet higher than usual on Wednesday and 2 feet higher on Thursday, according to the advisory.

At high tide, the combination of winds and tides may cause flooding of low-lying areas, the weather service reports.

  • Naval Academy: 10:20 p.m. and 10:45 a.m.
  • Havre de Grace: 2:35 p.m. and 2:31 a.m.
  • Bowley Bar: 12:53 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
  • Fort McHenry: 11:37 p.m. and 12:15 p.m.
  • Chesapeake Beach: 8:50 p.m. and 9:28 a.m.
