Maryland Flood Warnings Extended Plus Soggy Weekend Forecast
Flood warnings have been extended to early Saturday morning by the National Weather Service. Plus when will it rain this weekend.

BALTIMORE, MD — Were there any weekends this summer when the sun was out and it was a great time to head to the beach? It doesn't seem like it, and this weekend will be pretty soggy. The National Weather Service has extended a flood warning for the city of Baltimore, plus parts of Carroll, Anne Arundel, Howard and Baltimore counties until 1:15 a.m. Saturday. A separate flood warning for Washington, D.C., Montgomery and Prince George's counties has been extended to 12:45 a.m.
At 9:51 p.m. heavy rain had ended, but some stream gauges indicate water levels remain high in the area. Some flooding remains likely since up to three and a half inches of rain have fallen. Flooding of urban areas is expected along with creeks and streams rising out of their banks.
Locations that could see flooding include: Baltimore, Columbia, Pikesville, Cockeysville, Elkridge, Riviera Beach, Glen Burnie, Ellicott City, Dundalk, Towson, Catonsville, Woodlawn, Randallstown, Parkville, Owings Mills, Eldersburg, Milford Mill, Reisterstown, Lochearn, Pasadena, Hyattsville, Takoma Park, Adelphi, and Silver Spring.

Slow-moving thunderstorms are expected to develop through Friday evening, causing low-lying areas to flood. An earlier flash flood watch has expired.
Roads and poorly drained areas can quickly become inundated during a flash flood. Streams and creeks could leave their banks, flooding nearby properties. Residents should monitor the forecast and be prepared to take action if a flash flood warning is issued, according to the National Weather Service.
