Police: Man Assaulted, Robbed at Gunpoint in Lothian
The victim was hit with a handgun and punched several times by multiple suspects, police say.

Anne Arundel County police say a 22-year-old Lothian man was beaten and robbed at gunpoint in the area of Sands Road Sunday evening.
Police responded to the 1200 block of Whittington Drive in Lothian at 9:33 p.m. Sunday. The victim told police that he had been dropping a woman off at her home in the area of Sands Road when the incident occurred.
After the victim's friend got out of the car, a masked man jumped into the vehicle and punched the suspect and hit him with a handgun, police said. The victim told police that several other masked suspects surrounded the vehicle, pulled him out, and punched him several times before stealing his wallet.
After the theft and assault, the victim got back in his vehicle and went to a relative's house for help, which is where he called police.
Southern District detectives are investigating the incident.
