Maryland Weekend Weather: From Balmy to 'Brrrrr!'

It might be time to put away the flip-flops this weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting that Maryland will see a bit of a roller coaster in temperatures from Saturday into Sunday, so buckle up.

On Saturday, look for partly sunny skies with high temperatures hitting a balmy 70 degrees, according to the NWS. By Saturday afternoon, a cold front starts to move in, with temperatures dipping into the 50s and winds kicking up gusts to 45 MPH. A few showers could pop up around 4 p.m. Saturday, according to AccuWeather.

By 8 p.m. Saturday, it'll be about 46 degrees with a "feels like" temperature in the 30s thanks to 15 MPH winds.

By Sunday the cold temperatures stick around. Expect temperatures on Sunday to only reach into the upper 40s, with gusting winds and partly sunny skies, the NWS reports.

• Friday: Sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Southwest winds around 5 mph.
• Friday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds around 5 mph.
• Saturday: Partly sunny. A chance of showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid-60s. Temperature falling into the mid 50s in the afternoon. South winds 5 to 10 mph...increasing to west 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 45 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 30 percent.
• Saturday night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. West winds 15 to 20 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph...decreasing to 30 mph after midnight.
• Sunday: Mostly sunny and breezy. Cooler with highs in the upper 40s. West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
• Sunday night: Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 30s.
