HdG Family Wins $100,000 from Scratchoff: Maryland Lottery

The Kiel family of Havre de Grace was the lucky winner of the $100,000 prize from the Maryland Lottery. The family purchased a Ravens scratch-off ticket from the Aberdeen Shell in the 1000 block of Middleton Road; the gas station will also receive $1,000 for selling the winning scratch off. The family plans to buy a house and take a vacation.

Truck Hit Pedestrian Near Main Street: Bel Air Police

The Bel Air Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying the driver of a truck that struck a pedestrian last week. Authorities released a photo of the truck (believed to be a Nissan) involved in the crash in hopes of identifying the vehicle and its driver.

93 Drivers Pulled Over In Distracted Driving Crackdown

During an Anne Arundel County Police crackdown for texting while drivers and speeding, 93 vehicles were pulled over and 45 citations were issued. The patrols ran during rush hour on Ritchie Highway (MD-2) in Glen Burnie, in coordination with the Maryland State Police and Maryland Transportation Authority motor units.

Maryland Ties For Worst Commute Time In U.S.

According to a survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, Maryland ties with New York when it comes to the worst and longest commutes. Annapolis Rapper Young Dylan On 'Ellen' Show Wednesday

Annapolis' very own Young Dylan appeared on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday, showcasing his talents and traveling to New Orleans for the NBA All-Star Weekend. The 7-year old is a student at Germantown Elementary School and has ambitions of becoming a rapper as an adult. Part of his motivation to become a rapper is to buy 300 mansions: one for him, one for his parents, and the rest will be used as an orphanage.
