South County Shooting Hospitalizes Man: Police

A shooting hospitalized a man in southern Anne Arundel County, a report said. The victim wouldn't give any details on the suspect, it added.

HARWOOD, MD — Police said a man was hospitalized Monday after he was shot in Harwood. Officials expect the victim to survive.

Officers noted that they heard word of the shooting around 5:33 p.m. They found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to his lower torso in the 800 block of Harwood Road, an incident report added. Police explained that they immediately started giving first aid to the man.

Detectives think a fight make have broken out before the shooting. The write-up mentioned that the victim would not give any information on the suspect, however.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department indicated that it is still investigating. Officers asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-1960. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing (410) 222-4700.
