South River Youth Athletics Introduces Tennis Program

SRYA is very excited to offer for the first time…TENNIS!

This new program will be clinic-based training for young beginners to start to learn the game. Girls and boys from 5 to 10 are welcome to register. Tennis is a great sport for kids to learn early in life with many benefits. Regular tennis play has been demonstrated to improve: leg strength, general body coordination, gross motor control, fine motor control, agility, eye-hand coordination, flexibility, discipline and sportsmanship. And, most importantly, it’s FUN!

All sessions will be held once a week at South River High School on either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 6-7 p.m., depending on age. The registration fee includes 6 weeks of tennis sessions and a t-shirt at the beginning of the season. All you need is a racquet and a pair of TENNIS shoes (yes, sneakers will work too). See you on the court!

The tennis program is going to be Clinic tennis.
