Taco Bell Customer Assaults Edgewater Restaurant Manager: Police
An Edgewater Taco Bell customer threw a stool at the restaurant manager, police said. Officers reported arresting the suspect.

EDGEWATER, MD — Police said a customer on Friday threw a stool at the manager of an Edgewater Taco Bell. The assault injured the manager, officers stated, but authorities reported arresting the suspect.
A press release explained that police heard word of a disorderly person at the restaurant, located at 3091 Solomons Island Road, around 11:34 a.m. The victim told officers that the accused man became "irate" and used profanity when speaking to the employees, the write-up continued.
The manager asked the suspect to leave, the incident report informed. The release mentioned that the accused customer then threw the stool, striking and injuring the manager's hand.

The manager again ordered the suspect to leave, police noted. Officers added that the accused man then exited and threw a rock at the restaurant, shattering its drive-through window.
Authorities wrote that they found and arrested the suspect on Mayo Road. The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the arrestee as 34-year-old Thomas Joseph Weitzel-Smith of Edgewater.
