What's Open, Closed In Edgewater On Thanksgiving

EDGEWATER, MD — Thanksgiving will be a little different this year. With coronavirus cases spiking, many celebrations were canceled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.

Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures, but the holiday will shake up their hours more. Here is what's opened and closed on Thursday's holiday:

Government Offices: Anne Arundel County government offices will be closed on Thursday.

Courts: Courts are closed Thursday and Friday. Court hours are listed here.

Parks: All parks will be open for their normal hours. Park hours are listed here. This interactive map shows the parks closest you.

Libraries: All Anne Arundel County Public Library branches will be closed on Thursday. All branches have reopened for limited, in-person service. Patrons must book an appointment by calling their local library, however. A full list of library hours and contact information is posted here.

Post Offices: Post offices will be closed on Thursday.

Trash And Recycling: All landfills and recycling centers will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Thursday trash pickup will happen on Friday. A schedule of all Anne Arundel County trash and recycling operations is available here.

Buses: The County Connector will run on a Sunday schedule this Thursday.

Anne Arundel County will not run any buses on Thanksgiving. The following buses will run on a Saturday schedule on Friday:

• 201
• 202
• 204
• Gold
• Yellow

These buses will be out of service on Friday:

• Crofton Connector
• South County Call N Ride

Trains: The MARC train will not operate on Thursday, but the Light RailLink will. All MARC schedules are listed on its website. The Light RailLink's schedule is posted at this link.
