7 Places in Edgewater to Take Out-of-Town Visitors

As the weather warms up, friends and family will be making their way into town for parties and graduations or long weekend getaways.

1. Blair’s Londontowne Pub - A go-to restaurant for local residents, so it’s no surprise Patch readers noted it as a favorite to bring family and guests to during their visit to town.
2. Homestead Gardens - Located in the Davidsonville countryside, Homestead Gardens is perfect for a mid-afternoon stroll across the beautiful grounds or a visit to see the beautiful decor during the holiday season.
3. Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) - Drive in or dock your boat to tour the trails and education grounds. SERC is known for its research on coastal ecosystems to create a more sustainable planet.
4. Historic London Town and Gardens - A great visit for those looking to discover and learn. The spacious museum and park features rich history, archaeology and many worthwhile attractions, such as the William Brown House—or better known as the London Town Publik House—built in 1760. “The tour is interesting, and the garden is beautiful,” Patch reader John McDowell said.
5. Killarney House - Just 10 minutes outside of Edgewater, Patch readers believed it still deserves a spot on the list. The restaurant features fresh Irish food made from family recipes.
6. Old Stein Inn - A Maryland gem. Treat your guests to a traditional German dining experience complete with cold beer, of course.
7. Coconut Joe’s - This waterfront restaurant offers something for both the kids and adults.
