What's Open, Closed For Christmas 2020 In Edgewater

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Local, county and state government offices, along with numerous services, will not be available Christmas. County offices that do not provide essential services are closed Christmas Eve. All county offices are closed Christmas Day. Arundel Olympic Swim Center and North Arundel Aquatic Center will be closed Christmas Day, too, as will all parks, Quiet Waters Park Ice Rink and Glen Burnie Town Center Ice Rink.

City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Annapolis Transit will operate a regular weekday schedule on Christmas Eve during the day. There is no transit service Christmas Day. The Pip Moyer Recreation Center and the Stanton Center will both close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24. Both locations will close for Christmas. Friday collections will occur on Saturday in Annapolis.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works, Waste Management Services will observe the following curbside collection schedule and facility operating schedule at the Millersville Landfill and Resource Recovery Facility and the Northern, Central and Southern Recycling Centers in observance of the Christmas holiday.

• Dec. 24 – Normal curbside collection provided to Thursday customers - WMS Facilities closed
• Dec. 25 – No curbside collection – WMS facilities closed
• Dec. 26 – Curbside collection provided to Friday customers - WMS facilities open

Wrapping paper, tissue paper, greeting cards, seasonal advertisements, gift catalogs, gift boxes, cardboard boxes, junk mail, soft and hard cover books, newspaper, phone books and magazines also can be recycled this holiday season.

Anne Arundel County's transportation department will be running the following schedule:

Christmas Eve
Paratransit is running
All fixed routes running on a Saturday schedule until 8 p.m.
South County Call Ride running until 4 p.m.

Christmas Day
No service
