(wmar2news.com) — A beloved Main Street landmark in Ellicott City is closing as Tersiguel’s French Country Restaurant ends its 50-year run and prepares to become River House Pizza Co. in 2026. Chef Michel Tersiguel has passed the torch to former employee-turned-owner Nathan Sowers and his wife, who plan to keep the space a hub for local celebrations and gatherings. 
• Routine patrol turns into roadside rescue as Howard County police assist with flat tire (foxbaltimore.com) — Howard County police officers on patrol in Ellicott City recently stopped along Route 40 to help a stranded driver whose tire kept going flat, and their teamwork was captured on video. The officers changed the tire so she could safely continue in the cold weather, and the department later shared the feel-good moment on social media as an example of small gestures making a big difference.
