Crash Snarls I-95 South In Howard County

The crash is impacting traffic on Interstate 95 south near MD 216, officials said.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A crash caused the temporary shutdown of Interstate 95 in Howard County. The Maryland State Highway Administration advised the collision had closed the highway south of MD 216/Scaggsville Road around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

By 5 p.m., the two right lanes had reopened on I-95 south in the area of MD 216.

Traffic is backed up to I-495, WBAL Captain Roy Taylor reported at 5 p.m.

One person was flown by medevac for treatment, while another person had been pronounced deceased at the scene, according to WBAL, which said crash reconstructionists were responding to the scene.
