Garage Engulfed in Sunday Night Fire

A fire that engulfed a three-car garage Sunday night in North Laurel remains under investigation Monday, according to public safety officials.

The fire was reported in the 10300 block of Scaggsville Road in Laurel shortly before midnight Sunday. About 35 firefighters from Howard, Prince George’s and Montgomery counties fought the blaze for 25 minutes, preventing it from spreading into the the residence, officials said.

Homeowners had evacuated safely before firefighters arrived, and there were no injuries, fire officials said.
