Grotto Pizza Debuts Spring Menu Items
Additions Include New Pizzas, Sandwiches, Tater Kegs, and More!
COLUMBIA, Md. (Apr. 5, 2019) – Grotto Pizza celebrates spring with the following additions to its menu:
Pizzas
- National Pizza Month, pizza creation contest winner, The Swirl of Fire – Savory sausage and tangy banana peppers combined with our spicy sauce and light extra cheese. This recipe came from Erin Glass of Timonium, Md.
- The Mama Grotto – Old style family pizza layered with hearty tomato sauce; topped with cheese and freshly chopped basil. This is prepared the way Grotto Pizza founder Dominick Pulieri’s mother made pizza every Friday when he was growing up.
Sandwiches

- Roast Beef Au Jus Sandwich –Thinly sliced, tender roast beef dipped in a hot au jus sauce on a toasted Italian roll; served with a choice of beach fries or sautéed veggies
- Ultimate Chicken Salad Sandwich–House-made chicken salad with crumbled bacon, artisan cheddar cheese, lettuce and fresh tomato; served on a grilled Italian roll with a choice of beach fries or sautéed veggies
- Turkey Lettuce Wrap – fresh iceberg lettuce leaves filled with oven roasted turkey breast, provolone cheese and diced tomato, cucumber and red onion; served with lite Italian vinaigrette dressing
Miscellaneous
- Grotto Tater Kegs – Jumbo tater tots combined with flavorful ingredients:
- Bacon, cheddar and chive, served with ranch dressing
- Spicy buffalo chicken, served with blue cheese dressing
- Chili – Award winning recipe topped with cheese
- Spinach Salad – Baby spinach topped with freshly chopped Roma tomato, cucumber, diced red onion, hard-boiled egg and feta cheese; served with lite balsamic vinaigrette dressing
- Grilled Chicken with Vegetables – Tomato balsamic marinated chicken breast, grilled and thinly sliced; served over steamed vegetables
- Grotto’s Country Roast Beef – Slow-roasted, thinly sliced roast beef served over garlic bread; with sautéed vegetables and crispy sidewinder fries

Grotto Pizza, Inc. first opened in 1960 in Rehoboth Beach, De. by owner Dominick Pulieri. Since then, it has grown to 23 locations throughout Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Still a family owned business, Grotto Pizza is a family casual dining restaurant that specializes in award winning pizza and hospitality. The full menu includes pizza, pasta, sandwiches, subs, appetizers, salads, beer, wine, cocktails and Grotto Gelato. Dominick Pulieri is involved in day-to-day operations and preaching the company culture that it is, “All About the Guest!”
