Laurel Man In Jail On Child Sex Charges: Police
After an investigation, the Anne Arundel police on Friday arrested a Laurel man, 55, on sexual abuse charges involving two children.

LAUREL, MD — A Laurel man is facing charges stemming from a child sexual abuse investigation by the Anne Arundel County Police Department, and the police are asking the public for more information. The police on Friday, Jan. 4, arrested and charged James Ten-eyck, 55, with sexual contact with two child victims, according to a police report.
Ten-eyck, of the 3200 block of Purple Leaf Lane, faces the following criminal charges:
- third-degree sexual offense (two counts);
- fourth-degree sexual offense - sexual contact (two counts);
- sexual abuse of a minor (two counts);
- second-degree assault (two counts).
The police said Monday that Ten-eyck was being held without bond in the Anne Arundel County jail.

The Police Department opened an investigation after taking a report shortly after midnight Dec. 14 from a mother in Laurel who told police that "her child was touched by an adult male in the community," the report stated.
The individual was identified as Ten-eyck, the police said. The department's Child Abuse Unit also identified another child victim.

Child Abuse detectives, along with Anne Arundel's Child Advocacy Center, interviewed the victims, and they disclosed inappropriate sexual contact with Ten-eyck, the police said.
