Laurel Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest Of Hyattsville Man: Police
A Laurel traffic stop led to the arrest of a Hyattsville man, police said. He had a gun and bullets in the car, officers noted.
LAUREL, MD — Police said they arrested a Hyattsville driver Thursday in Laurel. Officers reported that he had a gun and ammunition in the car.
A press release noted that police stopped a gray Ford Mustang near Whiskey Bottom Road at Maryland Route 198 around 12:33 p.m. Officers explained that their discussion with the accused driver led to a vehicle search. Authorities added that they found:
- A Glock 9-mm (Polymer 80) semi-automatic handgun with a 30-round magazine and 11 bullets
The Anne Arundel County Police Department identified the arrestee as 19-year-old Kerod Rashard Ballinger.
