New Elderly, Veteran Real Property Tax Credit Now Available
Laurel residents can now apply for a new elderly and veteran real property tax credit.

From The City of Laurel: Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe and the Laurel City Council have announced a new Elderly and Veteran real property tax credit, Ordinance No. 1927, adopted on January 10, 2018, and is now available.
To apply for this new real property tax credit, you need to be at least 65 years of age and have lived in the same dwelling for the last 40+ years, or you need to be at least 65 years of age and be a retired member of the uniformed services of the United States, the military reserves or the National Guard.
Applications will be accepted at the Laurel Municipal Center in the Department of Budget and Personnel Services until August 31, 2018.
To apply for the tax credit, please visit the home page of the City’s website, cityoflaurel.org. There is a link that will explain the application process, as well as a link to the application. Or come into the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, to pick up an application in person at the Budget and Personnel Services window.
Tax credits will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis depending upon available funding.
