Nielsen Company Donates 738 Pounds of Food to Grassroots
Information and measurement company contributes 2,074 food items to shelter's pantry
The Hunger Action Month Committee of Nielsen Company, a long time supporter of Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, recently held a drive at its Columbia and Hanover offices to collect food for people residing in the Grassroots shelter on Freetown Road in Columbia. The team delivered 2,074 food items (738 pounds) and $300. Helping sort and pack the food for delivery were (from l.) Jane Shapiro, Robin Echols and Belinda Reger.
