Residences at Vantage Point Hosts Virtual Dementia Tour Feb. 27

Caregivers invited to walk in the shoes of those with Dementia and Alzheimer's

Residences at Vantage Point , which has been serving the Columbia community for 29 years, invites caregivers to take a Virtual Dementia Tour on Thursday, Feb. 27.

Learning how to create a positive environment for those with Dementia can only be done from attempting to walk in their shoes. The Virtual Dementia Tour is proven method of training created for people caring for those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s and striving to provide a better environment for them.

Caregivers are invited to register for one of two sessions being held on Thursday, Feb. 27. Session 1 is from 1-2:30 p.m., and Session 2 is from 3-4:30 p.m. Space is limited. Register by calling 410-992-1241 or contact StewartK@vantagepointresidences.org.

Residences at Vantage Point was founded in 1990 and is a nonprofit serving people age 60 and above. Managed by Life Care Services, the community includes a variety of residential living apartments, an array of on-site services and amenities as well as providing on-site long-term health services including Monterey Place, a new specialized memory care assisted living neighborhood, assisted living and comprehensive nursing center exclusively for residents should they need them.
