Upper Marlboro Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash: Police

Maryland State Police are investigating a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle crash that killed an Upper Marlboro man.

LAUREL, MD — An Upper Marlboro man died Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on the westbound MD-198 to southbound Interstate-95 in Prince Georges County, according to a Maryland State Police release. The deceased victim, 33-year-old Damien Dickerson, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Around 3:57 p.m., troopers from the MPD College Park Barrack were dispatched for the report of a crash on southbound I-95 near the Inter-County Connector. They found a single-vehicle collision with injuries.

Following a preliminary investigation, troopers determined Dickerson was riding a Suzuki GSXR on the ramp from westbound MD-198 to southbound I-95 when, for unknown reasons, the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into the guardrail on the right. Speed is considered a factor in the crash.
