"Women's Voices Through the Years" Showcases Range of Actress

The Residences at Vantage Point’s Arts & Culture Collective presents “Women’s Voices Through the Years,” a one-woman show featuring award-winning actress Valerie Lash, on Tuesday, May 7, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the retirement community in Downtown Columbia. The public is invited to attend.
“Women’s Voices Through the Years” will include “a potpourri of comedy, drama and poetry from my 50 years on the stage,” according to Lash, the Dean of Arts and Humanities and Professor of Theatre at Howard Community College. She is also the Founding Artistic Director of Rep Stage.
Among her many accolades, Lash has received an Artist of the Year “Howie Award” from the Howard County Arts Council, is an inductee of the Howard County Women’s Hall of Fame and was most recently honored with the Audrey Herman Award for passion and support of arts and theatre across the greater Baltimore community.

The Arts & Culture Collective was established by the Residences at Vantage Point in response to community members’ interest in hosting public activities that engage and educate as well as entertain. The next event in the series is “The Big Melt,” a reading by naturalist Ned Tillman from his young adult novel, followed by a discussion of the power of literature and intergenerational collaboration to address climate change. The event is set for Tuesday, June 18, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
