1. The American College Personnel Association-College Student Educators International and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education have selected the University of Maryland Division of Student Affairs as one of the 30 Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs for 2021. 2. Become a nurse for Prince George’s County Public School (PGCPS)! Enjoy a work schedule that matches the students’ academic schedule. No nights, weekends or holidays required. 3. Governor Larry Hogan recently participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new state-of-the-art University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Prince George’s County. The Hogan administration committed more than $200 million toward the project. The new University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center is expected to provide care to more than 1 million people in Prince George’s County and Southern Maryland. (Maryland.gov)

4. The Verizon Ellipsis Jetpack mobile hotspot devices in use for distance learning in Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) must be returned no later than June 15, 2021. Verizon has issued a nationwide recall of 2.5 million hotspots, including almost all PGCPS hotspots, after it was made aware that the lithium-ion battery in the hotspots can overheat, posing a possible fire and burning hazard.
