What's Open, Closed In Laurel For Memorial Day 2018

Changes to city of Laurel office hour and trash pickup for Memorial Day 2018.

LAUREL, MD - From the City of Laurel: Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that City and Passport Offices will be closed on Monday, May 28, 2018, in observance of Memorial Day, a day to honor those who gave their lives for our Country. This will mean a change in the trash and recycling schedule for that week.

Monday’s residential and commercial refuse and recyclables will be collected on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Tuesday’s residential refuse and recyclables will be collected on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. There will be no change to Wednesday’s regular residential recycling or Tuesday’s and Wednesday’scommercial refuse/recycling collection schedule.

And there will be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection scheduled for the week of Memorial Day. Public Works next Residential Special Pickup will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup by either e-mailing dpw@laurel.md.us, calling the Department of Public Works at 301-725-0088 or you can sign up and submit your special pick up request through the MyLaurel app on the homepage of the City’s website, cityoflaurel.org.
