Police: Charles Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene in Cottage City.

A 4-year-old boy from Silver Spring was killed in a crash in Cottage City on Thursday night, Prince George’s County police said Friday.
Charles Sullivan, of the 9300 block of Piney Branch Road, was pronounced dead at the scene at Bladensburg Road and 37th Place about 8 p.m., according to a post on the police department’s blog.Â
Sullivan was a passenger in a Ford Explorer traveling south on Blandensburg Road when it sideswiped an SUV stopped at a traffic light, police said. The Explorer then struck a second vehicle at a traffic light in the northbound lanes of Blandensburg Road, left the road, struck two utility poles and ended up in a parking lot, a preliminary police investigation found.
