Baltimore County Exec Challenges Leggett to Playoff Bet

County Executive Ike Leggett received a challenge from across the state over Major League Baseball playoffs.

With the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals both playoff-bound, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz made a bet against two of his fellow county executives: Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker.

“I’m going to challenge each of you that our Orioles are going to do better than your Washington Nationals,” Kamenetz said in a YouTube video released Wednesday, in which he was surrounded by his Orioles bobbleheads. “I’ll even up the wager a little by putting in a case of Baltimore County vineyard wine for each of you if, for some reason, your team gets more wins than our team.”

Details of the Major League Baseball playoffs have not yet been determined. Games will occur in early October.
