Beautiful Weather Coming To Montgomery County: Work Week Forecast

No, the summer isn't quite over yet, but we are about to get a taste of what is to come.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — We're just a couple of weeks away from the start of football and the return of school, but it's still August and it's still more than a month until the official start of fall. Despite that, we're about to get some beautiful weather this week in Montgomery County as an appetizer of sorts to the autumn months.

The week doesn't start out great. It'll be muggy and cloudy on Monday, and then showers and thunderstorms will come rolling in Tuesday afternoon.

But after that: "weather bliss," as the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang put it.

Wednesday will still be slightly hot, with the National Weather Service predicting highs in the mid-80s, but how's this for a high on Thursday: 79 degrees.

Friday will be solid as well with highs topping out in the low 80s, with the same story on Saturday before temperatures start to creep back up into the high 80s by Sunday.

Other than Tuesday, things should mostly be dry, especially Thursday through Sunday, according to NWS.

CWG notes that the nice weather is due to a big cold front rolling through that will be responsible for making Tuesday a wet one.

The weather will be delightful not just because of the low temperatures, but because it will feature dry air -- a nice respite from the mugginess that typically bogs down August days.
