Bump N' Grind Coffee Coming To Silver Spring Library Saturday
The coffee shop and record store Bump N' Grind will open inside the Silver Spring library on Saturday, June 26, it announced on Twitter.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Silver Spring library patrons will have a new stop when they head in for their books this weekend. Bump N’ Grind, the coffee shop and record store, will open inside the library on Saturday.
The local chain announced it passed their inspection and is all set to open at the library in a Tweet. Bump N’ Grind has another location in conjunction with Moorenko’s Ice Cream on Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The company says that it roasts its beans from all over the world in Kensington.
“Our roasting objective is to highlight the nuances of each bean, so that we can all learn and understand the differences between coffees from around the world,” Bump N’ Grinds website says. “We're all on a quest to find our ‘perfect cup.’ We believe this methodology is the way to get there.”

Their cafe menu includes coffee and tea, and a food menu with salads, bagels and pastries. Their cold drinks include cold brew, iced lattes, iced matchas, and more.

Montgomery County Public libraries reopened fully this June for the first time since the pandemic began. Silver Spring was one of the libraries that reopened June 1, along with Gaithersburg, Connie Morella in Bethesda, Rockville, Olney and Marilyn Praisner in Burtonsville. Seven more —Aspen Hill Library, Damascus Library, Davis Library, Little Falls Library, Long Branch Library, Potomac Library and Quince Orchard Library reopened on June 14.

The libraries suspended their hold and no-contact pickup service when they fully reopened for browsing. That service began during the pandemic when libraries were closed.
