SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County Democrats on Tuesday cheered Joe Biden's historic selection of Sen. Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate.

The California senator — who ran against Joe Biden for president last year — is the first woman of color on a major party presidential ticket.
