COVID-19 In Montgomery Co: 107 Cases, 1 Death Added On March 4
Since March 2020, Montgomery County has recorded 63,702 cases and 1,376 deaths linked to COVID-19.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County added 107 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, pushing its cumulative total to 63,702 since the pandemic began.
One more resident died overnight, bringing the local death toll to 1,376.
The latest fatality count does not include the 45 others whose deaths were linked to the virus but never confirmed by a lab test. For now, they are considered "probable deaths."

Montgomery County — which is home to roughly 1 million residents — continues to have the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second-highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 73,834, according to the latest figures.
Across Maryland, there have been 384,765 cases, 7,740 confirmed deaths, and 182 "probable deaths." Of the 856 people currently being hospitalized statewide, 216 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

As of Thursday, Maryland has administered 1,436,396 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Among those, 926,554 were first doses and 509,842 were second doses.
In Montgomery County, 165,777 residents (15.8 percent) have received their first dose. A total of 82,785 residents (7.9 percent) have already gotten their second and final shot.
