Downed Wires Cause Road Closures In Silver Spring: Traffic Alert

SILVER SPRING, MD — Drivers in Silver Spring may be affected by road closures caused by downed wires during their Tuesday evening commute.

Montgomery County Police said Grubb Road at East West Highway and the east bound lanes of East West Highway are closed for wires down.

The road closures were announced around 4:15 p.m. and are "anticipated to last for a few hours," police said.
