Silver Spring Garden Club Hosts Gardening with Deer Talk
A talk on Dealing with Deer and Other Mammal Pests in Your Garden hosted by the Silver Spring Garden Club.

The Silver Spring Garden Club is hosting a talk on:
Dealing with Deer and Other Mammal Pests in Your Garden
Bambi may be cute, but he and his mother, cousins, and rest of the herd are very hungry and they would love to make a feast of your garden. This talk will cover proven and humane tactics for gardening with deer, rabbits, rats, groundhogs, and other furry creatures that are attracted to both edible and ornamental gardens.
Our featured speaker, Kathy Jentz, is editor and publisher of Washington Gardener Magazine. A life-long gardener, Kathy believes that growing plants should be stress-free and enjoyable. Her philosophy is inspiration over perspiration. Currently, she is President of the Silver Spring Garden Club and on the board of several other garden clubs and organizations.
You can also find Kathy’s work featured in numerous other area publications including the Mid-Atlantic Grower newspaper, Takoma Voice newspaper, Pathways Magazine, and The DC Ladies group blog.
WHEN: Monday, January 25*, 8:00pm
Doors open at 7:30pm
*Due to the Martin Luther King Jr Day holiday Monday, we are meeting a week later than our normal “third Monday of the month.”
