Kathleen Tevnan, Team ‘Cosmopolitans’, Taking Part in DogFest DC!
Team 'Cosmopolitans' Benefiting Canine Companions for Independence - "It just makes sense"
Silver Spring, MD: When asked why she decided to get involved with DogFest DC, Kathleen Tevnan of Silver Spring said, “It just made sense to see what I could do.” As a graduate of Canine Companions for Independence with assistance dog Cosmo, Kathleen is well-aware of Canine Companions’ fundraising needs, and was one of the first to sign up and create a fundraising team. Canine Companions provides highly trained assistance dogs like Writer free of charge to children, adults and veterans with disabilities.
With a goal of $1,000, Kathleen is reaching out to friends and family to ask them to support Canine Companions for Independence. From opening and close doors to picking up dropped items, these dogs enhance every aspect of their partners lives.
