Learn to Cook, Tai Chi, Play Tennis Through County Classes
Registration For Montgomery Recreation Department Spring Classes is underway.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Registration for spring classes, programs, aquatics and adult sports is underway through the Montgomery Recreation Department. Registration began Monday, Feb. 13 and residents can register until programs are full.
There are a ton of activities for Montgomery County residents of all ages. Here are a few options:
Parent and Tot Ice Skating

Parents can ice skate with their kids ages 3-5 at Cabin John Ice Rink each Saturday from Feb. 25 to April 1 for $102.
"Chopped" Spring Break Cooking Camp

Kids ages 7-11 can learn to cook from April 10-14 at Brookside Gardens for $290.
Beginner Tennis, Teen
Teens ages 11-15 can sign up for tennis lessons every Thursday from March 2 to April 6 for $111.
Beginner's Tai Chi
For Ages 55 and up, learn Tai Chi each Monday from Jan. 9 to April 17 for free.
Registration for Senior Outdoor Adventures in Recreation and the newly named Day Trippers on the Move also began Tuesday. These include tours, shows, live theater, festivals, Nationals and Orioles baseball games and much more. For more information, check out this page.
Residents can sign up for these activities from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Montgomery Recreation service window at 4010 Randolph Rd. You can also register online on the ActiveMONTGOMERY database.
