Man Was Struck And Killed By Train In Forest Glen: Metro Police

A man was struck and killed by a train at Forest Glen station Monday night, according to Metro officials.

SILVER SPRING, MD — A man was struck and killed by a train at Forest Glen station Monday night, according to Metro officials.

Officials said the unidentified male purposefully placed himself in the path of an arriving Red Line train around 9:32 p.m. Metro Transit Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to the incident.

Due to the collision, Red Line trains were single-tracking between Silver Spring and Wheaton. WMATA said there were delays in both directions.
