MOCO Weekend Events: Brewery Bash, Pride PAWrade, Block Party

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — If you haven't solidified your plans for the weekend yet, consider adding some of these to your schedule. From brewery anniversaries to Pride events to a public block party, here are three things to do in Montgomery County this weekend.

Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company's "Brewer's Bash"

When: Saturday, June 12 and Sunday, June 13
Where: Lone Oak Farm Brew Company
5000 Olney Laytonsville Rd, Olney, MD 20832

This brewery is celebrating its one-year anniversary, and is throwing a weekend-long party to do so.

"Lone Oak will offer its heralded lineup of beers, hard seltzers, and hard sodas, along with its craft pizzas, soft pretzels and new charcuterie bags," a news release from the brewery says. "In addition, Lone Oak will be pouring its new hard slushes and a brand-new beer – a strawberry version of one of Lone Oak’s flagship brews – the Lone Oak Lager."

Bark Social Pride PAWrade

When: Saturday, June 12 at 8:00pm to 11:00pm
Where: Bark Social in Bethesda

"No one’s ‘itching’ to get outside to celebrate PRIDE more than the dogs and team members at Bark Social, the unique new experiential beer garden and coffee house for dogs and their human friends," Bark Social said on its website.

Silver Spring Community Block Party

When: Saturday, June 12 at 12:00pm to 11:00pm
Where: Silver Branch Brewing Company 8401 Colesville Road, Silver Spring

You'll find barbecue, the release of a new pilsner, and live music from School of Rock Silver Spring.

"Come together as a community, meet your neighbors, and celebrate Silver Spring at the Silver Spring Community Block Party at Silver Branch!" Silver Branch Brewing Company said in their event listing.
